Bangalore, August 3: The Tangkhul Katamnao Long Bangalore (TKLB) will be celebrating its 25th Freshers' Day on 6th August 2010 (Fri) at Austin Town community Hall, Bangalore. Ambassador BR. Muthu Kumar, Retd IFS Officer will be the Chief Guest and Thommi Kaping, Asst Accounts Officer, Office of the Principal Accountant General, Tamil Nadu as the Guest of Honour for this function. Request all the Tangkhuls to come in our own Traditional attires to welcome the Freshers in Bangalore. There will be a Comtemporary Tangkhul and English music display from various artistes. It is information to all the DU aspirants, the sale and receives of under-graduate admission form for the academic session 2010-11 for all the colleges under Delhi University will be on and before 28th May-11th June, 2010. The University, in an effort to make its admission process familiar and easier, will conduct “Open days” from May 15th to 23rd May in various colleges. Open days are basically orientation program for aspiring students to get to know about the courses and colleges they are interested to pursue. The tentative timing for the Open days is from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. There will be a special counseling session for SC/ST students which will starts on 28th May and remained opened till 11th June. Bangalore May 11: The Naga Students' Union Bangalore is organizing a "Peace Rally and Candle Light Vigil" to condemn the killing and injuring of many Naga civilians back home by the government of Manipur through its Armed forces. The rally will be held today 11th May 2010 (Tuesday) from 1500-1900 at MG Avenue, Bangalore. All Nagas in Bangalore are expected to participate in this peace rally. All are requested to come with our Traditional Attires, A candle and own water. 

The Naga Students’ Union Delhi is organizing a ‘sit-in Dharna’ today – Monday, May 10, 2010 in front of the Prime Minister’s resident from 5pm onwards in protest against the killing and injuring at Mao Gate on the 6th of May, 2010, by the Manipur Police Cammondos.
